Experience the Sea the Local Way!
Your guide, Anthony "Tony" Roudette, has been fishing Dominica's waters for the past 40 years, and is renowned island-wide for his fishing success.

His knowledge of the sea, fishing techniques (fishing by hand-line the local way or with rod and reel), fish habits and surrounding environment,  will make your time at sea with him a rewarding encounter.
  • Opportunities from $150 US.  Please inquire.
What's Your Fishing Fancy?
  • Troll near-shore for barracuda, king mackerel and  wahoo.
  • Journey 3-15 miles out on the sea. Observe firsthand and participate in the process of catching bait and setting hand-lines for yellow-fin tuna, marlin and mahi-mahi on a FAD. You'll also try your luck with with rod & reel for these large fish and other species.
  • Set a line to a depth of 900 feet for red snapper and grouper.
  • Tag along to help pull a fishtrap.

*A "FAD" (Fish Attraction Device) is a shelter created with tarpaulins placed just under the sea surface by the fisherman and secured by rope and anchor in waters three quarters of a mile to a mile and half deep; the tarpaulins provide protection for small fish which in turn attract larger and larger fish, including tuna and marlin, into the area to feed.
